Activity Director Home Study Course

InstructorsJohn Rowlett ACC/EDU and Mark Laker MS, Therapeutic Recreation have multiple years of combined experience in leading workshops and seminars on activities at national and state conferences. They have also taught this course at prestigious institutions, such as Indiana University, University of Indianapolis, Ivy Tech State College, and Clark State Community College.       John Rowlett, ACC/EDU

      John has served in the fields of health care and activities for a number of years and is nationally certified through the NCCAP and has served as the President of the Indiana Activity Directors Association. He has also been on the NCCAP and NAAP Boards and served on the RSVP Board.

      Mark Laker, MS, Therapeutic Recreation

      Mark has served as the Regional Coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana. He is one of the founders of the state-approved Activity Director course. He also authored Nursing Home Activities for the Handicapped and served as Chairman of the National Alzheimer's Conference. He worked as an educator for the Indiana State Department of Health and was the assistant Director for the Indiana State Department on Aging.
