Rowlett and Laker, Inc. has developed and taught the Activity Director Course for universities, nursing home affiliates, and state-qualified programs. They have taken their innovative approach to activity development and implementation and have created this unique home-study course.

Both John and Mark have led workshops and seminars on activities at both National and State Conferences such as the National Association of Activity Professionals, the National Alzheimer's Disease Conference, the Canadian Association of Activity Professionals, the Indiana Health Care Association and the Indiana Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

 

Mark Laker, M.S.
Mark is Regional Coordinator, Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana. He is one of the founders of the State-Approved Activity Director Course. He authored the book, Nursing Home Activities for the Handicapped, and served as chairman of the National Alzheimer's Conference.

 

John Rowlett, A.C.C.
John has served in the fields of health care and activities for 35 years. He is nationally-certified through NCCAP. He has served as the President of the Indiana Activity Directors Association and on the NCCAP Board. He presently serves on the RSVP advisory board.
